#OFFICIAL New venues for 2025 events and updated calendar!
The SGP Series warmly welcome 2 new venues for the SGP Serie 12 running in 2025:
the USA national SGP event has changed venue from Estrella (Arizona) to Seminole-Lake Gliderport (Groveland - Florida), the popular club organising the Senior SSA competition each year. We want to thank Estrella team for their good will to try to organise the USA SGP Serie 13, and also accepting that it was not anymore possible to make a great national SGP in the current situation of the gliding club. We want to thank also the Seminole-Lake team to take the pole on such a short notice. Looking forward to follow the race in USA. an additional national SGP event will also be held in Nowy Targ (Poland) in 2025 following the great success of so many entries for this SGP Serie 12 and the goal of this Serie to open to more pilots than before. Visit the (coming soon) Poland event page for more information and submit for entry. To achieve this goal of more pilots, we have broadened the range of gliders which can be used fairly in SGP (18m class in many SGP with as many gliders as possible capable of a win, 15m class in Spain, Std-15m with handicap in Germany) but also allowed some experimental classes as “SGP Lab”. Germany team of Aalen came with the idea of a Double Seater class and this will be one of the experiment we will follow closely in the next months.
