FAI Sailplane Grand Prix Launches Global Media Alliance and Releases Official Media Guide
Paris, France – 19 February 2026. The FAI Sailplane Grand Prix is entering a new era. Today, we are proud to announce a major step in our mission to professionalize air sports broadcasting: the official launch of the SGP Global Media Alliance.
For too long, the coverage of our sport has been fragmented. Our goal for Series 13 is simple but ambitious: to make the "Formula 1 of the Sky" the most followed air sport community in the world.
To achieve this, we are moving away from passive reporting. We are building an active syndication network to ensure that the drama of high-speed soaring reaches every pilot’s screen, regardless of where they live.
Meet Our Inaugural Partners
We are thrilled to unveil the first five members of the alliance. These industry heavyweights have committed to bringing the 13th Series closer to you through exclusive interviews, localized coverage, and cross-platform promotion:
By equipping these partners with "content on a platter", including 3D tracking visualizations, broadcast-quality live streams, and high-definition photography, we are ensuring that you never miss a moment of the action.
A Vision for the Future
"Our vision is simple: to make the Sailplane Grand Prix the most accessible and followed air sport in the world. To do that, we need to empower the storytellers. We are equipping our partners with the tools they need to ensure that the drama of high-speed soaring reaches every pilot’s screen." — Antoine Havet, Head of SGP Media Group
For Journalists & Creators: The New Media Guide
To support this vision, we have released the comprehensive SGP Media Guide, available now at our newly launched media portal.
This guide is the essential toolkit for journalists, editors, and broadcasters. It details the Series 13 calendar, the unique race format, and the technical assets available to our partners.
